City Hosts Halloween Party

WHITEHORSE – The City of Whitehorse is inviting community members to attend its annual Halloween Party, Deputy Mayor Ranj Pillai announced.

The City’s Halloween Spooktacular will be held at the Canada Games Centre on October 30th with activities running from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

“This Halloween the Canada Games Centre will be filled with exciting events so I encourage everyone to get their costumes ready,” said Pillai.

“There will be activities and fun for the whole family in this community celebration so I encourage everyone to attend.”

Activities include themed games, craft stations, spooky story time, a public swim, and public skating. A $2 donation will be collected at the door with all proceeds going towards the Kid’s Recreation Fund.

“This is just one of the many public celebrations held at the Canada Games Centre throughout the year,” said Indoor Facilities Manager Art Manhire. “Whether it’s summer time, Christmas time or Halloween we invite all members of the community to come and enjoy the City’s premier community centre.”

  • 3-5p Ghoul, Goblin & Gremlin Games (Fieldhouse) - themed games
  • 4-5p Haunted tales (Creepy Corridor) – story time
  • 5-7p Themed stations (Creepy Corridor) – interactive themed booths (Science Lab, Dracula, Pumpkin Guessing, Wizard, Fortune Teller and Pirate’s Cove)
  • 3-8p Face Painting & Crafts (Creepy Corridor)
  • 6-9p Chillax’n (Chillax’n room/Creepy Corridor/Flexihall) – story time and themed games 6-8p Skeleton Swim (Aquatic Centre)
  • 8:30-10p Scary Skate (ATCO Ice) $2 entrance donation going to KRF Hot chocolate
