Games Centre Artist Display

WHITEHORSE – Visitors to the Canada Games Centre will soon have the opportunity to view dozens of pictures taken by Whitehorse’s aspiring photographers, said the Manager of Indoor Facilities Art Manhire.

“This exhibit represents the efforts of those involved in the City’s Creative Photography Program and will be on display from October 28th to November 25th,” said Manhire.” Whitehorse has such a wide array of budding talent and the City is pleased to provide a place to display these creative works.”

The Creative Photography Program was a month-long program listed in the City’s Active Living Guide.

Themes for the photo exhibit included trees, landscape, morning routines and landscapes.

“After one month participants have created great works of art, I am excited about the quality and universality of the images,” said course instructor Leslie Leong. “The students understand their cameras and use them as a tool to create unique expressions.”
