Tahkini North Lottery Successful

Press Release fromt he City of Whitehorse:

WHITEHORSE – The City sold every lot in its recent Takhini North lottery, Deputy Mayor Ranj Pillai said.

“As part our ongoing effort to provide more places for families to live in Whitehorse the City held the second phase of its Takhini North lottery on October 19th,” said Pillai. “I’m pleased to announce that the lottery was a great success.

“With the design of the Takhini North subdivision the City has provided an opportunity for people to live close to where they work and major amenities while limiting our environmental impact,” Pillai added.

During the lottery process the City sold 30 single family lots and 12 duplex lots. Single family lot prices ranged from $93,765 to $114,345 and duplex lots ranged from $168,420 to $184,800.

“This sale represents the substantial completion of the Takhini North project,” said Planning Manager Mike Gau. “There will be future opportunities for people to purchase property in the Ingram subdivision and in the upcoming Whistle Bend subdivision.”
