Carcross
Located on the northern tip of Bennett Lake on the old Klondike Gold Rush trail, is the village of Carcross.
Only a 50 minute drive away, it lies 74 km south of Whitehorse on the Klondike Highway and about 110 km north of Skagway, Alaska. Carcross was once a hunting and fishing camp for Inland Tlingit and Tagish First Nations People, and then became a key stopover and supply centre during the Klondike Gold Rush. Tourism is now its major industry, with a rich past and important part of Yukon's history.
Here you'll find The Spirit Lake Wilderness Resort, a wilderness and adventure resort in the Watson River Valley just 8 kilometres north of Carcross, and 70 kilometres from Whitehorse. Providing vacation packages such as Art, Wellness, Guided Fishing, Horseback Riding Camps and Flightseeing Tours, you'll find everything you need here to stay in comfort and experience the pristine area of Carcross.
